Play in tune on the whole fretboard with intonation you can adjust until perfect. The saddle is not a regular compensated saddle. Each string has a separate saddle that allows the end of the string to be moved individually. This extra compensation gives perfect intonation at the saddle. A trait found only in electric guitars is brought into the acoustic world. This adds a special level of musicality to the instrument. You as a player can hear each note more clearly which helps find different places to expand your technique. An upstream solution, this saddle makes the instrument an engineer or producers dream. It saves time in studio because no effects are needed to correct the guitar. Additionally, it provides a unique tone that holds tuning when you start adding capo down the neck or multiple capo.
Our guitars are usable. There are multiple ways to easily adjust the action. The saddle is floating so shims can easily be put underneath it to lift the height. A floating fingerboard allows for easy access to the high frets and allows the player to change the break angle. The provided key can be inserted into the heel stock and with a small twist the neck angle to the body changes. As the guitar ages and goes through the seasons it changes and changes the action. Our stock setting is to keep it as low as possible, but this is your choice to make not ours. You have the power to play with low action or move it higher in minutes.
A special focus is given to quality in each guitar. Only the best woods are used. Each board has the grain inspected and the rigidity, tone and strength assessed. Jay works with them slowly and intentionally to make sure every detail is payed attention to. The set on this instrument were chosen to provide a great sound. Old growth Indian rosewood back and sides support a warmth that is matched by the sitka spruce top to create a warm crisp tone. Jay gives a lifetime warranty with free repair and adjustment work and includes a hard-shell case. If a flaw is found it is fixed and we use a microscope to look. We want this guitar to last generations.
This is a parlor guitar with a 14” lower bout” which has good volume and projection. A special bracing system is used to enhance the projection and responsiveness. A carbon fiber layer goes in between each brace to make it extra strong. Instead of standard x-bracing a curved or falcate bracing is used. This gives the guitar stiffness and flexibility in just the right directions. Together the body and top can vibrate uninhibited and project more. The tuners are the best we can find, Gotoh 510’s. Special attention is given to the fretboard to make it smooth, level, and scratch free so it is easy to play. The neck has a low-profile C-shape. Its depth is minimal and the sides curve fast. Ideally suited for small hands or someone who wants it to be easy to wrap a hand around the neck.
